She’s Coming Baaaaa-aack!!!
Posted by Political Pyro in Media Firestorm August 11, 2008Just when you thought Hillary Clinton was either bound and gagged in Barack Obama’s political crawlspace or onboard the Messiah’s bandwagon, signs that the Clinton political blowtorch is lighting up and ready to burn the house down in Denver are beginning to surface. Here are ten signs of a possible floor fight:
1. No Deal: Days before the mainstream media picked up on a video of Hillary at a rally expressing her desire to be placed on the ballot for "healing purposes", PUMA website Just Say No Deal already had it on the front page. Coincidence? Leak? Never underestimate the power of the Clintons. Previous stories had been circulating that Hillary did not want her name on the ballot. This video corrected the error.
2. Michigan: In a state Obama cannot afford to lose, much has been written these past few days concerning the ties between jailed Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and Rev. Jeremiah Wright. The timing is curious. Kilpatrick’s arrest has already been covered, but for the first time, a connection to Obama is mentioned. Apparently, some footage exists of Kilpatrick introducing Wright at a NAACP function. Racial tensions in Michigan are among the worst in the country right now and the only reason the mayor has yet to be removed from office is best explained through the words of a Detroit councilwoman: "We don’t want a white governor removing our black mayor." How utterly post-racial. Would the Republicans stoop to use such footage against Obama this fall? Would Hillary? You’d better believe it.
3. Colorado: Recent articles have been hinting at a possible GOP plan of attack in the coming weeks: Affirmative Action to be exact. In another state the Obama campaign is hoping to capture this fall, a civil rights initiative is being placed on the ballot that would basically put an end to preferential treatment to minorities. McCain supports it (just as he supports the initiative on the Arizona ballot) while Obama is firmly against it. Prohibition against discrimination? Why, that’s racist! No conspiracy theories here, but Obama should have fun explaining to the folks in Colorado exactly why equality is such a "divisive" issue. More Hillary ammunition just now getting some MSM coverage. She’s jotting this down in her notebook now.
4. The Leaked Hillary Memos: Just as Obama is gathering national attention for stalling in the polls in the year of the Democrats, the Clinton campaign seems to have misplaced about 200 memos calling Obama unelectable "except against Attila the Hun", and it just so happens that Andrew Sullivan of Atlantic Monthly has found them. Lucky for the campaign, the memos didn’t fall into the wrong hands… like the New York Times.
5. "I Am Not a Racist": John McCain may have cracked open the door when he accused the Obama campaign of playing the Race Card every five minutes against any and all opposition, but Bill Clinton kicked it through the wall by verifying that he too was a victim. Doesn’t exactly sound like a party loyalist to me. Still bitter? Try pissed.
6. Howard Wolfson: Hillary’s faithful attack dog comes out of the woodwork with this quote in reference to the mainstream media suppressing the Edwards scandal: "I believe we would have won Iowa, and Clinton today would therefore have been the nominee," former Clinton Communications Director Howard Wolfson told ABCNews. Now what was the point of making that comment? Has his final paycheck not cleared? Or is he still on the payroll? Hmm.
7. Edwards Scandal/MSM Backlash: This may not be directly damaging to Obama, but with voters slowly beginning to realize that the mainstream media has been withholding damaging evidence against preferred Democratic candidates, one might suspect that there are untapped stories about Obama as well. Considering that Raila Odinga and ethnic cleansing in Kenya has yet to be brought to national attention, their suspicions would be correct. Surely, both Hillary and McCain are aware of this by now.
8. Primetime Convention Speeches: Bill and Hillary have landed two of the hottest primetime spots of the convention. Now, I may be stretching a bit here, but didn’t Bill just accuse Obama of playing the Race Card on him? Why do I doubt either of the Clintons will be able to deliver anything remotely close to an ass-kissing session? Everytime either one of them speaks, I look for smoke signals in the background or for their eyes blinking a Morse code message to the PUMAs. Call me a conspiracy nut, but you might want to make some popcorn for this convention.
9. Foreign Conflict: It has been widely noted that any international crisis will inevitably help John McCain. We now have two: Iran and Georgia. So while the McCain campaign is hitting hard on the fact that Barack Obama is nothing more than an empty-headed celebrity, world crises are brewing. Could Hillary Clinton help save the Democrats? Delegates might be wondering that right about now.
10. Old Jewish Women: Three strikes! Those are three major thorns in Obama’s side. Put them all together and you have one fierce PUMA. My favorite person in this category is a lady I chat with several times a week at a local coffee shop. Her name is Miss Criss. Criss had a vision that Hillary Clinton would take the Oath of Office. "In 2013?" I ask. "No, in 2009." she still insists. Miss Criss swears up and down that Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States. And who am I to doubt her? She reads palms and cures pain with the heat of her fingertips, too.
One thing is for certain: win or lose, come August 26th, Hillary Clinton will be ready to pounce. All the signs are there.

Call me a nut-case but I agree with Miss Criss.
This is not so much about Barack Obama as it is about the blatant stupidity of the DNC. We just *HOPE* the DNC will listen before it is too late.
Seriously, are Democrats really going to prove, once again, why they have a well-earned reputation for snatching Defeat out of the jaws of Victory?
I can’t imagine any other situation where a political party would ignore the candidate who received the most votes (a historic number of votes)and instead hand-pick a different candidate for their nominee.
In addition, BHO was losing, not gaining, support as the primaries were finishing up; and, even at that, won many of his delegates in ways that will not translate into wins in those states. HRC’s wins likely would insure wins for Democrats in those states.
Barack Obama’s campaign informed the nation that HRC was polarizing and unelectable. I find that kind of politics polarizing.
As a PUMA, I hope to punish the DNC for rewarding those sentiments — and for their utter stupidity in general, thinking that any Clinton is unelectable. Bill Clinton is the only two-term Democratic President since World War II! He brought the nation unprecedented peace and prosperity, all the while the target of well-funded campaigns to derail his Presidency.
If he was a Republican, his face would be carved in Mt. Rushmore by now.
If BHO actually had leadership skills, these two Democrats would be on an unbeatable Democratic team this November.
There is only ONE Democrat who is preventing that from happening — The One who promised that he had the leadership skills to bring all kinds of people together. Ironic, isn’t it?

Did anyone read Obama’s reponse to the Russian-Georgian conflict? Obama’s an idiot, he’s does NOT understand world affairs. He was wayy to soft on Russia. This isn’t American idol– we need someone STRONG who can restore America to what it was in the 90’s. That would be Hillary Clinton.
Comment by Ianchicago — August 12, 2008 @ 10:53 am
Hillary, we need you! If Barack continues to be the Dem nominee, McCain will certainly win. It is almost as though Pelosi and Dean are shooting themselves in their respective feet on purpose. We need a Democratic President. And it can’t be Obama. He doesn’t have a clue. It must be Hillary, who actually knows what she is doing.
Comment by Charlie — August 12, 2008 @ 11:13 am
I’m not convinced. The arguments support also the conclusion that Mrs. Clinton might accept a VP nomination and they (Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Clinton) have to sell this “stupid” idea to her supporters. Some might go with this nonsense, some, not all. The only question being: how many and how loudly?
Comment by BA — August 12, 2008 @ 11:36 am
I just can’t imagine Hillary not being honnored on the roll call. As a longtime Dem. this campaign process has opened my eyes to many dissapointments and has opened my eyes to the many politicians I did admire at one time, but now see their true colors! Hillary was robbed and the will of the people ignored. All I can say is Hillary give them Hell at the convention…

Democratic party leaders and Senator Obama are scared about this happening. Senator Obama does not want Hillary’s name placed in nomination. He has concerns he will not win the nomination. Super delegates are being threatened to lose their status if they sign the petition. One smart delegate went to the news media.
http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/17163668/detail.html
Ed Rendell had the following e-mail to Clinton super delegates in PA. Super delegate sent it to PUMA PAC.
TO: All Clinton Delegates
FROM: Mary Isenhour
Executive Director
DATE: August 11, 2008
RE: Nomination
If anyone approaches you about signing a petition to place Senator Clinton’s name in nomination at the Democratic National Convention, the Governor has asked me to ask you to refrain from signing such a petition until we know what Senator Clinton and Senator Obama have worked out. As always, please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

The DNC highjacked the primary, I wonder who highjacked the DNC…it certainly isn’t democratic any longer…maybe the same people that highjacked the MSM! The Democratic Party cannot deny Hillary an open, legitimate roll call vote, and still call themselves the Democratic Party…all the ‘good ole boys’ have been granted this right, since the 1800’s, and now that it’s a woman’s turn, they’re going to change the tradition?? Don’t think So!!!

Hey anything is possible! Hopefully this author is correct, unless Hillary is the next president, this country is in deep trouble. Have you seen Obama’s economic plan? Hillary is scary smart, and seeing Obama’s poll numbers falling and looking like a dem might not be elected, maybe she making a concerted effort to save this country. Yes, Madame President is sounding more possible!

I wish I could agree with all of your conclusions, as I like your thinking.
The Atlantic article reads more like a hit piece though and has played into the hands of obots on Huffington Post.
I would like to know your views on that.
[***First of all, I would like to stress that I do not even pretend to have all the answers here. I wrote this piece based on a lot of “movement” that’s been going on lately. Concerning the leaked memos, I do not believe in coincidences in politics, especially when considering the timing.
The bulk of the memos center around Mark Penn’s strength as a strategist. We already know the campaign took some missteps, but much of that is based on a reluctance to severely trash another Democratic candidate. Hard to deduct too many points from Hillary for that — she was between a rock and a hard place the whole campaign. Nevermind the Atlantic Monthly “article”, the real red meat here is the memos themselves — and the conversation they will (re)ignite.
Now in August, Hillary wants to test the waters to see if there is a possible opening for her. She is savvy, so I doubt she is getting her hopes up too high, but at least she is giving it a try. “Leaking” old memos is the best way to do this. Sending out surrogates with fresh material would reek with sabotage. It would actually be counterproductive. This tactic is actually brilliant.
Nevermind the Huffington Post as well. We all know where they have stood from the very beginning, this is to be expected. For Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic nominee, she needs to count on serious doubts about Obama. She would have to appear as if she were merely being carried along the wave of dissent, as a savior if you will. She cannot “steal” this thing because again, it would be counterproductive.
Thank-you for the comment and question –PoliticalPyro***]

I just received a letter from BO and the DNC soliciting donations. I ripped up the contents, put it back in the envelope and wrote PUMA across
the envelope.
Hillary Clinton 08 or John Mccain 08.
NEVER OBAMA, get it DNC? NEVER!

Miss Criss isn’t the only one having visions of HRC being sworn in. Michelle Whitedove, who last year was named America’s #1 psychic, is seeing the same thing. She has been saying this all along, since before the primaries, and has not wavered yet (except to allow for the possibility that the vision her guides are showing her is longer range and will take place in 2012).
Take a look here http://www.michellewhitedove.com/Blog-%20TheDemocraticIllusionJune2008.php

Thousands, indeed, millions of Americans have been independently working, devoting their time to give expression to the various truths of this election cycle and candidates. The MSM has refused to represent anything resemembling fair journalism and indeed have seemed to be on the Obama pay-roll with the unceasing touting of the fresh-faced messiah.
Senator Clinton stands for this country’s democratic principles. She has worked her whole adult life towards advancing those ideas and practices in this country and in 92 countries around the world! She has proven her ability to stand stalwartly behind her policies, in gaining the support of officials on every side of ‘the aisle’ and delivering effective, positive change to Americans.
In the hope of healing and embarking on the road of recovery, as a nation, we work to have Senator Clinton elected at Denver; we work to bring this superlative leader to the presidency in November!

Get a life people, or just become Republicans!
The Clintons need to retire - PERMANENTLY!!!

We need super delegates to show some leadership and talk about the pressure they’re getting from Obama campaign. (I thought the delegates, as representatives of the people, were supposed to pressure candidates - not the other way around!)
These stories need to get out, even if SDs will only speak anonymously to the press.
Comment by IBI — August 13, 2008 @ 10:11 pm
Great post. Obama ran an anti-Hillary campaign. He thought that was the best way to knee-cap Sen. Clinton. But he fail to anticipate that it would also be the best way to mobilize Clinton’s supporters and unite them -> against him.
PUMAs are the one no one expected.

DEMAND A ROLE CALL VOTE FOR CLINTON
I have NEVER voted for a Republican for any office but I will vote for McCain this time because Obama and his pushy, unethical supporters stole the Democratic Party nomination. I have voted in EVERY ELECTION since 1951.when I was old enough to vote.

I am no Hillary fan at all, but Barack who? for president! Would you let a apprentice mechanic work on your dream car? A manager in training run Microsoft or your company? Seriously, what experience, specific knowledge or achievements does Obama bring to the table. Name one specific feat Obama has achieved/done to be considered for president of the USA. Cannot do it. He has no executive experience, has never run a state, city, town , business or whatever. Oh yeah he has a law degree, as if we need more law degrees in Washington. Re-distribution of wealth? Lets start with Obama millions first, see how fast he flip flop (again). This is not an election! This is a showcase of political correctness and *** kissing by politicians who are trying to save their seats(senate and congress) and the public is falling for it. I can guarantee that not one politician will have a student airplane pilot fly their plane home to another pathetic fact finding mission.

Hey Pyro - nice set of comments here. Your popularity must be off the charts
Hope all is well - and cheers to everyone for picking up the slack for poor HIllary. I can feel her pain.
As for the predictions, I suspect she’ll continue to disappoint her devoted fans. Reminds me of the Monty Python sketch - “I fart in your general direction!”
Obama doesn’t even need to be sabotaged at this point - so she and Bill will lead the charge on the whole faux party unity BS, knowing for damn certain she’ll be back again in 2012.
Problem is - the economy will probably be running full steam by then (those damn cycles), and McCain will mop up the floor with her canary yellow pantsuit.
But hey - at least all of you will get to vote for them again, right?
Meanwhile, if you’d concentrate all of this energy on local elections, maybe 50 years down the road we’d end up with a do-something government.
But nah - let’s “Save the Whales”, PUMA, or beat our drums to death about some other silliness…
Gotta go tend to the sheep now - their bleating hearts need a good dose of catharsis at the convention.

The NY Times recently ran a story about Hillary’s tepid support of Obama, this is unacceptable!!!
It is long past the time when you Hillary whining hens need to get off your ample asses and start to support Obama.
He won, you lost, GET OVER IT and get in line.

I’m just here to protest the lack of new articles. Looks like Political Pyro wishes to rest on those 30 comment laurels for a bit…
Also, we’re all much too young to be so bitter and jaded. It’s not like any of these elitist assholes give a rat’s ass about “the people”.
The Presidential elections are simply an indicator of how many people are still buying into the illusion that our country remains a democracy.
And again, the WORST possible scenario is that we degenerate completely into nepotism thanks to familial branding.
Ooooh, Hillary just sent me some of her famous home-baked cookies - mmm, mmm…. And I know she’s an avid feminist - look how strongly she lent her support to poor Monica Lewinsky.
I have to go now - Socks just woke up and hissed at me. REEOWWWRRR!!!!! Kssspsstpsstpsst!!!!
No wait, that was Hillary. My bad.

THE PUMAS ARE TOTALLY JUSTIFIED …
1. Contrary to what Obamabots say …
Obama and Hillary were in a dead heat,
when the DNC pressured Hillary into not
only conceding, but campaigning for Obama.
2. Obama is once again in a dead heat, but now
with McCain, even though Obamabots act like
Obama has already won (like they did in the
primaries against Hillary). So, this means that
half of the Democrats, and all the Republicans
(3/4 of America) dIdn’t want Obama. Plus, he
didn’t even win the popular vote, and refused a
revote in Michigan and Florida.
3. Obama has the thinnest resume in politics, and
he won state legislature and Senator by
disqualifications of his opponents, not by earned
experience, or votes.
4. Obama’s one claim to fame is being a community
organizer, where he boasts of registering voters.
Then he took their votes away from them, by
disqualifying his opponents on technicalities, prior
to the election.
5. Obama’s mentor of 20 years, was an anti-American
racist … not to mention other unsavory associations.
6. Obama is simply buying the election, since he’s
good at fund raising … hardly a qualification to be
President of the United States.
7. The media never vetted Obama, and they are
giving him a free ride, plus more than twice the
print and air time as McCain, as they did against
Hillary.
8. 90% of blacks are voting for Obama, because he is
black, while the campaign gained ground by
accusing most opponents of racism.
9. Obamabots were, and are extremely nasty and sarcastic
towards Hillary supporters, as well as McCain supporters.
10. Pumas should be applauded for putting country before party …
especially a party that did not represent them, and a party
which highjacked the nomination for Obama.
11. Obama added insult to injury, when he didn’t even consider
Hillary for V.P. … nor did he even call her … even though she
got 18 million votes in the primary.
12. Obama and the DNC are now holding a gun to the heads of
Hillary and Bill Clinton, giving them an ultimatum … either support
Obama, or kiss your future in the DNC and politics goodbye.
P.S. Michelle Obama subjected her two young children to anti-American racists … Jeremiah Wright, Farrakahn, Pfleiger, and others
at the black liberation Trinity church in Chicago, for several years. Is this who you want for first lady … I don’t think so !!
