2008 General Election:posted by: Political Pyro

As a white, male member of the Democratic Party since 1989, I am constantly accused of harboring some evil racist tendencies concerning my refusal to support Barack Obama. This accusation could not be further from the truth. I would like to set the record straight.
If given the opportunity, I will vote for Colin Powell for anything he decides to run for. He is one of this country’s greatest patriots. The same goes for Condoleezza Rice (even though her association with George W. Bush will dog her for years) because she is eminently qualified for any government position she desires…
Barack Obama has neither quality. He has neither served nor sacrificed - only taken from, then complained. I will never understand how a man can rise to the level of his achievements only to turn around and trash that very system as ineffective or somehow exclusive…
Bobby Jindal is the no-brainer best choice for McCain’s VP, not just because he is highly-intelligent, youthful, ambitious, and inspiring (Rush Limbaugh calls him the next Ronald Reagan), but let’s be honest: He’s not an old white guy!
I believe it is important to find someone qualified other than an old white guy, and I don’t believe saying that makes me in any way a racist. America is a diverse place and qualified people of all racial and religious backgrounds, both men and women, deserve a chance at running the great American melting pot.
Which brings me to one of the many reasons I despise Obama: When Geraldine Ferraro, one of the great icons of the Democratic Party, said that Obama was triumphant partly because of his diverse background and America’s understandable desire to see some more diversity in government, the Obama campaign and the media trashed her as a racist.
Likewise, when Bill Clinton called out the media’s unwillingness to ask Obama any tough questions early on in the campaign, describing the whole thing as "a fairytale", the Obama campaign along with the media, spun it around and trashed Bill as a racist.
Barack Obama, the self-proclaimed "unifier", is perfectly willing to destroy the reputations of great Democratic leaders in a scorched-earth race to the White House. Anyone who stands in the way of Barack Obama’s coronation is a racist. Period. This is the template you should expect from an Obama presidency.
This is exactly the kind of filth we had to endure for the last 8 years when Bush told the world: "You are either with us, or with the terrorists". The stifling suspension of free-thought and speech under the constant threat of being labeled a traitor.
Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean, and the New Marxist Democrats have their pawn in Barack Obama. They rejected Hillary Clinton because she is too centrist, created Barack Obama because he is the most liberal Senator in Congress, and got him the nomination through corrupt caucuses, a labyrnthine "system" of delegate appropriation, voter disenfranchisement, and superdelegate voter intimidation.
I have something else in mind…

You apparently know nothing about what Marxism really was/is.
[***You apparently know nothing about what I know. This article is based on the fact that the extreme left-wing of the Democratic Party has taken control. I commented on the Obama campaign’s willingness to use sleazy tactics in order to secure power. However, I made no attempt to outline or define ‘The Communist Manifesto’. –PoliticalPyro]

You’re right - I don’t know what you know. I know, however, that nothing you describe comes anywhere near to anything that can accurately be described as “Marxist”, in the sense of executions, purges, torture, etc. I think every body should take a break and have a beer or a lemonade or iced tea or something.
[***Marxism, based on the political philosophy of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, is not an exclusive school of thought reserved to those who participate in executions and torture. Perhaps you should read up on the outdated Marxist principles. The correlation between Obama and Marx has more to do with their similiar ideology. The belief that entire segments of society are being exploited by the Capitalists, even enslaved, is fundamentally absurd considering Obama himself was able to swiftly work his way up through the system to achieve the level of success he has. If our system of government is so terrible, how was that possible? Perhaps during the serfdom days of the 19th century, these principles deserved some attention. But not today. Obama is either dangerously in favor of a Big Brother system of government, or simply peddling false hopes to lower-income voters. Either way, his presidency is wrong for this country. Thanks for the post! –PoliticalPyro]

You are so off base. Obama is just trying to help the little guy. This has nothing to do with Marxism. There is only so many resources in the world and the corporate fatcats are making a profit off of all of our backs. As Michelle said: “someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.”
